ABOUT US

Webfield Productions Incorporated is a veteran owned corporation whose primary business is music in its various forms, be it live productions, recordings, DVDs, videos, educational materials - electronic and printed, clinician services, publication of works for wind and percussion, etc. Webfield has put together a series of websites that will host music on the internet as never seen before.  These websites will feature new compositions, for band, orchestra, chorus, etc.  You will also be able to book clinicians, buy recordings on DVD and CD as well as videos of various musical groups and show.

 MISSION STATEMENT

To have the greatest possible influence on all aspects of music performance, research, creativity and education.  We will do this while underscoring the importance of music as an art form necessary to the fabric of society through the publication of quality music for performing ensembles and by providing the finest resources for music professionals. 

GOAL

To become the number one source for music professionals by enhancing existing opportunities and promoting new resources and experiences through a variety of services.  These services include:  making the finest clinicians available; publishing creative and challenging articles to stimulate educational thought; and by aiding educational and performing organizations with all activities associated with the administration and operation of successful activities.

Dr. Adam F. Brennan, Vice President and Creative Director

Dr. Adam F. Brennan has been director of bands and professor of percussion studies at Mansfield University in Pennsylvania since 1995.  Currently Dr. Brennan is serving as Chair of the Music Department and maintains his duties as Director of Bands.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in music education and a Master of Arts degree in theory and composition, with an emphasis in composition, from Western Illinois University.  He earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in instrumental conducting from the University of Oklahoma where he studied with Dr. William K. Wakefield. 

Dr. Brennan is conductor of the M. U. Concert Wind Ensemble which has been hailed as an outstanding performing ensemble, richly sensitive, musically compelling, and deeply passionate in their interpretation of outstanding wind –band repertoire.  The Mansfield University Bands are recorded on Strike Up the Bands!, This Could Be the Start of Something Big, Music From the Endless Mountains and their most recently released compact disc Tenebrae, which features the world premiere of Dr. Brennan’s latest composition for band entitled Tenebrae (Dark Hours). Dr. Brennan can also be heard as a percussionist on Twilight Offering Music released by the University of Oklahoma Percussion Ensembles, and as a conductor on Western Illinois University’s Fantasy Variations.  A new recording project titled American Portraits will be released in March of 2005.

Dr. Brennan also directs the Marching Bands, The Pride of Pennsylvania! where he writes all musical arrangements and coordinates the staff.  In addition to these ensembles, he teaches courses in percussion techniques and instrumental conducting to both undergraduate and graduate students.  Dr. Brennan has also served as the percussion ensemble arranger and pit ensemble consultant for the World Champion Empire Statesmen Drum and Bugle Corps and was caption head of the DCI Class-A 60 Champion Northmen Drum and Bugle Corps, is the Musical Director of America’s Ensemble and is an Honorary Board Member of the International Marine Tattoo of Rochester, New York.  He is twice a past president of the Pennsylvania Collegiate Bandmaster’s Association and has been involved in six world premieres at Mansfield University, has received numerous invitations to state conventions to present papers, clinics and performing  ensembles, and is actively involved in commissioning projects both locally and regionally.

An active composer and clinician with over 100 arrangements and compositions and over 150 guest conducting and clinical engagements, Dr. Brennan travels extensively serving as guest conductor and clinician at festivals and conventions.   In April of 2003, Dr. Brennan received Mansfield University’s Bertram Francis Award from Kappa Kappa Psi for outstanding contributions to the MU Band program.  In October of 2002 he was honored by Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia with the Orpheus Award for significant and lasting contributions to the cause of music in America. 

Dr. Brennan’s professional memberships include the College Band Director’s National Association, the Music Educator’s National Conference and the Pennsylvania Music Educator’s Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia National Music Fraternity, Tau Beta Sigma and Kappa Kappa Psi Band Fraternities (honorary member), and the Autism Society of America.  An advocate for autistic children, Dr. Brennan and his wife Katherine are actively engaged in promoting autism awareness and educational rights for special needs children.  Dr. Brennan resides in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania with his wife Katie, and three children, Max, Ian and Maggie.

Robert M. Scott, President

Bob Scott’s career encompasses diverse professional experience in Broadcasting, Event Promotion, and Advertising Consultation. Bob’s key areas of expertise include:

  • Organizing and promoting special events, trade shows, and entertainment events.
  • Providing development and public relations services to not-for-profits.
  • Developing advertising campaigns for shopping centers, retailers, and new products.
  • Producing entertainment videos and audios for commercial sale.
  • Managing broadcast properties at the station and network level.
  • Talented public speaker, on-air personality, voice talent, and performing musician.

Bob served as Co-Chair of the Organizing Committee for Drum Corps Associates (DCA) Senior Drum & Bugle Corps World Championships held in Rochester in 1996. His responsibilities included marketing/promotion, planning and logistics, event supervision, and community participation. He has also taken an active role in organizing the highly successful Rochester International Marine Tattoo, including producing videos and CDs of the event for sale to the public. Bob is a former member of several Drum and Bugle Corps, most notably, the Empire Statesmen where he worked as part of the administrative staff until 2001. He was also a member of the Drum Line from 1986 through 1994 winning two World Championship titles. He was elected an associate member of the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame in 2001. Bob currently serves as the Music Information Director for Mansfield University.

Bob resides in Penfield, New York and enjoys boating, music, and outdoor activities in his spare time. He attended Mansfield State University (PA) before joining the US Navy, where he was awarded a Combat Star.

John J. Papietro, Executive Vice President

John Papietro comes to Webfield Productions following a lengthy career with Xerox Corporation in Rochester. He brings with him strong project management and business process skills that complement and augment the creative talents of other members of the team.

John is the author of “The Business Book,” a reference guide and operations manual used by Xerox managers worldwide. He served as liaison to the Rochester Institute of Technology for the development of that school’s Masters of Instructional Technology degree program.

A US Marine Corps veteran, John served as President / COO of the Rochester International Marine Tattoo, Inc. He is President of the Flower City Jazz Society. He is a member of the Hochstein School of Music Adult Education Committee and is also in a variety of local service organizations.

John is a graduate of the University of Rochester.  He resides in Webster, NY and enjoys music, boating on Lake Ontario and gourmet cooking.
